Got three new employees in today, so I'm not the newbie anymore. Once one of them gets through the two-three week training period then I go on nights. Twelve hour days are tedious, but I prefer this schedule to a 9-5 job. Can't beat having 5 days off every other week.

The trip to Austin was nice. Spent more money there then I planned too. Now I have to live very lean until payday. Getting paid once a month sucks! Still, I'm making more here than I was at Verizon. That should give me enough to live on once the energy costs go up this winter. I'm seriously looking at solar panels for my roof. I understand they pay for themselves in a few years, and the thought of selling electriciy back to the electric company rather then shelling out around $250 a month makes me smile. Just coming up with the $7K+ to install them though will be a biatch. I have enough loans to keep me working hard, thank you. :-P

We had solar panels on our roof for about a year before some neighborhood punk shot them out with his/her BB-Gun.

We didn't reap the benefits long term. :)

Were they covered under insurance?

Hell I have no idea...my parents have always been tight lipped about stuff like that...I'm sure they committed fraud or something and bought a car with the check if they were insured.
